April 7, 2022, 7:30 PM EST - In The Works
Thursday, April 7, 2022, 7:30 PM EST on Zoom
In The Works is a communal gathering for musicians and artists (professionals, amateurs, and students) to share their works in progress, seeds of future work, and ideas about creativity with each other in an open, safe, and inviting environment. The sharing can be a performance, brief talk about future work, picture, video, or anecdotes about creative habits and experiences. The In The Works gatherings in spring 2022 will be for mothers or parents who identify as female/non-binary/trans. The art of finding creative balance when you are taking care of young children and working at the same time is a real challenge.
The gathering will be facilitated by Hyeyung Sol Yoon, co-founder of Open Space Music and an OSM Madang Artist, and will include a discussion and sharing of resources that will help to inspire our individual and collective creative journeys. In order to create an intimate and open environment, we will be limiting each gathering to 12 people including the artists sharing their works.
There is no charge to attend and participate in this gathering. If you are able to give a monetary amount, please consider making a contribution. We thank you for giving to our open space where the boundaries between groups of people, including artists and audience, fade away inspiring creative freedom.
The gathering will last approximately 1.5 hours.
This event is a part of the Madang Project. Please find out more about the Madang Project here.
